Blogsearch

Google Blog Search has overtaken Technorati’s market share in the United States according to LeeAnn Prescott of Hitwise. The success of the Google Blog Search is hand-in-hand with Google leveraging existing properties such as Google News and the Google homepage to drive traffic to its new property.1

In terms of the blog search market in general, Feedster has been struggling for 3+ years now - this RWW post in July 2005 shows how Feedster was falling behind Technorati even then. Now Feedster seems to be, if not in the DeadPool, then at least in the PurgatoryPool.2

The really good news is Google have learnt their lesson fully now on RSS and Atom. Any search term can now be put into a RSS or Atom Feed.4

Megint j? volt veled (persze, veled mindig j?, hihi). Most, ugyeb?r, megint moziban voltunk, Gy?rben (a M?g a jackpot el nem v?laszton, ami, szerintem, j? v?laszt?s volt) .5

The site offers the most features of any blog search engine as well, with the ability to search blogs by “tag” (subject keywords), set up personal blog “watchlists” and generate lists of the most popular blogs and the most popular searches. Like Google, Technorati also lets you subscribe to your search via RSS, so you can keep track of new postings on subjects of interest.6
