North American Airline

North American Airlines today announced that it will discontinue scheduled service between the United States and the cities of Lagos, Nigeria; Accra, Ghana; and Georgetown, Guyana. All flights in these markets will be completed by May 20, 2008.1

Amadeus announces the opening of a new North America IT Competency Center in suburban Chicago. The new Center will initially support the implementation of the company’s Alt?a airline IT suite for its North American launch partner, United Airlines.2

The Freedom Newspaper editors recently received a tip-off regarding North American Airlines’s intention of “suspending operations” to the Gambia due to lack of customers. Mr.Forsyth cites lack of customers year round to cover Banjul, as a justification for such a major decision.3

Based out of JFK Airport in New York, North American Airlines is a fully certified U.S.-flag air carrier that offers air transportation services throughout the world. The airline also has bases in Oakland, California, and Boston, Massachusetts.4

The 2007 North America Airline Satisfaction Study measures customer satisfaction of both business and leisure travelers with major North American carriers that earn at least $1 billion a year in passenger revenue, based on Department of Transportation statistics. The study is based on responses from 9,653 passengers who flew on a major North American airline between April 2006 and April 2007.5
